Inspired, Inspire, and become an Inspiration

I might actually be somebody important to somebody.

I realized it today. Now.

Unknowingly, i might actually have changed some people.
Changed their habits.
Changed their characters.
Or even,
changed their lives.

A friend approached me today, and expressed how thankful he was for having some conversation with him last week.
He told me he's going to start exploring. Exploring his country. Exploring the world. Exploring his own life. He might even quit his job for it.

Because of what i said, and because of what i told him i've experienced.

But...What did i say? What did i do? What have I experienced that seems so valuable to him?

"The people around you. The friends you make. Haven't you realize that they are mostly kind people?
That they are mostly people who have had certain achievements, any kind, in their lives?
It is you. They are your friends.
They can have many other friends. But hey lookie here, they are your friends.
You have made special friends. Because, you are a special friend to them too. A special person."

So, it could mean that, if you're an achiever, you make friends who are achievers. If you're kind, you make friends who are kind. If you're special, you make special friends.

Someone once told me this. Sadly, i can't even remember who it was...or when it was. I seriously thought he/she was just trying to make me feel happy, or just trying to make fun of me. But...could it be, true?

In my life, I have been inspired by a lot of people. Famous musicians, writers, teachers, friends, family, my parents, a lot of people. And i try to make it worthwhile to try to thank all these people, if i hadn't already thanked, I would try to in future. I will not forget to.

And today, I...was thanked. Somebody, is grateful to me, for something. Well, i mean, people do thank me for giving up my seat on a train, people thank me when i help to hold the door open at shopping malls.

But, this. It's different.

I might be......special, to someone. Anyone. Everyone.

All i have to do is, live my life, as per normal.

If I can do it, anyone else can. You can.

Change someone's life today. Change someone's life, now.
